Sweet as Revenge

Sweet as Revenge was officially established in Jakarta in early November 2003. Beginning of meeting Max, Qzoot (guitar) and Febri (bass) in a distribution in Jakarta. Starting from a chat about the same interest in the post-hardcore genre, then continues with the desire to create a band that plays post-hardcore music itself. Run time, and stand as Sweet Revenge. Unique name, for all personnel at the beginning of this band never had a bitter experience with bands preceding them. And make Sweet Revenge as a proving ground. That they will get better.

Starting from just practicing in the studio, then they decided to record their first demo. Their first song titled "Broken Lines and Smile Empty". Capitalize the song itself as well as some cover songs, Sweet as Revenge start reaching the platforms at various community events in Jakarta. Performed with only a handful of people watched as the opening band, or the most recent appearing as a cover band they have felt. That does not make them discouraged, but is considered as an experience that will strengthen them as a band. The song "Broken Lines and Empty Smile" finally attracting dE Records. The song re-recorded for inclusion in the compilation "Anthems of Tomorrow (dE Records, 2004). A compilation album containing the band-genre of post-hardcore bands and the like. The song "Broken Lines and Smile Empty" is also time to dominate MTV Cutting Edge charts for several weeks. A proud achievement for a band that is still a very young age. It is also a lift to the surface and their names became known to the public.Over time, as well as differences in the vision, mission and interests of each personnel, resulted in several personnel changes and changes in musical Sweet Revenge as a whole. After passing through a long recording process, the results of their work can be heard on a mini album titled "Birth of Expectations (Self Released, 2008)," which was released on January 5, 2008.A mini album contains 6 songs that reflect the bitterness and sweetness of their lives. Either as individuals or as a band of each personnel. Release mini-album "Birth of Expectations" got a pretty good response. Mini-album Release Party event itself was attended by about 700 spectators. Sufficient quantities fantastic.Their single titled "Portrait of Emptiness" is also often heard on the radio. After the release of mini album "Birth of Expectations", Sweet Revenge as the active guerrilla from stage to stage and start reaching the media. Starting from the stage community events, pensi high school, campus events, live performances, promos and interviews on the radio, all dilibas out. This is done not only to increase the hours of flying, but also as an attempt to reach new listeners, those who do not know as Sweet Revenge. Proven quite powerful in this way, many of which eventually fell in love with this band after they heard and witnessed the appearance of Sweet as Revenge. As one of the band's first generation of post-hardcore genre booming in the country, Sweet as Revenge trying to keep consistent and not washed up music trend that is fast changing.Until now, the recent formation as Revenge is Sweet: Dinand (vocals), Qzoot (guitar), Mamie (guitar), Febri (bass), Nishade (keyboard) and Nanda (drums). The journey from stage to stage, the conflict after conflict and life experience of each personnel has been an enriching experience as Sweet Revenge as a band. This makes them strive to be more solid and consistent in the work.Sweet as Revenge will continue to maintain its existence as well as the delivery of works to entertain music fans wherever they are.

Thirteen

Thirteen in the form in mid-2006, Raynard and Bondry meet and want to make aproject band that is different from existing ones, and this is the initial formation of Thirteen itself. Is Raynard (scream / growl), Bondry (guitar), Echa (guitar),Dick (Bass), Adit (drums), and then we felt the need to feel keys or synth then go Rudy (Key / Synth). Originally named "Devil May Cry" but because the nameis the name of a game, so we have to find another name. And at that time ourname was changed to "Thirteen". At its beginning we often play / cover songsfrom The Devil Wears Prada, Enter Shikari, Horse The Band, etc, therefore they indirectly influence the music we make each song, although personnel haveinfluence and play a different character different and we do not limit eachpersonnel in making ideas for songs. Berjalanya over time after release debutalbum "It's All About Party, Music & Friendship" in 2008, Echa (guitar) out of the"Thirteen". Since that time we decided to go ahead with the formation of fivepersons, namely Raynard (scream / growl), Bobond (guitar), Dick (bass), Rudy(keys / synth).

In mid-2009 Rudye (keys / synth) decided to get out of the Thirteen due to continue his college studies. And some time later we found two other earthcreatures, namely Jodi (clean voc) who is also vocalist of the "Milky Way", andEponk (keys / synth). With the formation of this now we will still give the music a different color, while still inserted some elements of music such as Metal, Rock,Post Hardcore, Emo, Screamo, Pop, Punk, Disco, Trance, Drum & Bass, etc. Oryou can called it "Whatevercore"

Asking Alexandria

Asking Alexandria are a British metalcore band from York, North Yorkshire. Founded in 2008 when Ben Bruce (lead guitar) contacted his old companions upon returning to the UK after residing in Dubai. The current line-up of the group consists of Ben Bruce (lead guitar), Danny Worsnop (vocals), Cameron Liddell (rhythm guitar), Sam Bettley (bass guitar) and James Cassells (drums).
Inception and Stand Up and Scream (2008–2009)
Asking Alexandria, have their roots in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, wherein guitarist Ben Bruce started a band and released one full-length album (titled The Irony of Your Perfection) with the group under the name Asking Alexandria. The band shortly afterwards broke-up and Bruce made a statement that at later date that the band known as Asking Alexandria from Dubai only had the name for about a month before leading to their disbandment, hence the band never embarked on a tour.
In 2008, Bruce moved back to the UK, leaving behind his former bandmates. However, Bruce had no plans on putting his musical career on hold and not long after the move he started fresh with new members, though deciding to carry on the name Asking Alexandria. Bruce has stated that he was the one that created this title, that he still liked it and the meaning/reason behind the name still remained, and therefore decided to continue it in the new project.[1] He also made an emphasised statement in the same blog post that the current Asking Alexandria is not the same band that wrote The Irony of Your Perfection, in style nor members,[1] hence they are two different bands, despite their links. The same statement has been emphasised in interviews and is known to still be a confusion to many fans.
Asking Alexandria, since their formation in 2008, has had some member changes, including going from a six-piece to a five-piece, with the departure of synthesist Ryan Binns.[2] The last known change was bassist Sam Bettley, who replaced Joe Lancaster in January 2009.[3] Lancaster played his final show at Fibbers in their hometown York on 4 January.[4] The band left for the United States the day after the show to promote their music through shows, as well as to prepare for the recording of their debut album.
After spending 2008 and the first months of 2009 touring, the band recorded their debut studio album between 19 May and 16 June 2009 at The Foundation Recording Studios in Connersville, Indiana, United States with producer Joey Sturgis.[5] They announced their signing with Sumerian Records shortly after finishing the recording and released their debut album, Stand Up and Scream, on 15 September 2009 through their new label. The band spent 2009 focusing on gaining success in the United States, touring with well known bands such as Alesana, Enter Shikari, The Bled and Evergreen Terrace, amongst others.
Reckless & Relentless (2010–present)
On 22 December 2009, Asking Alexandria announced that they were to start the works on a second album in January. They informed that they were to be streaming parts of the writing process through a web cam feed via the service Stickam. It was also announced that they will be entering the studio on 1 September, again with producer Joey Sturgis. Then they later announced that they will be able to get into the studio 22 June 2010 on their official twitter. The band has later confirmed through an interview with Shred News that the album is scheduled for release in early 2011 and is planned to contain 12 new songs.[6] In the same interview, the band informed that a title was not yet established. In a later interview they stated that the album will probably be able to pre order in November 2010, and available in early 2011. One song, “Breathless” has been played live already and can be found on YouTube. Danny has also released lyrics from the new album onto his Twitter account, although he did not state what songs they were from.
In March, Asking Alexandria are heading out on their first tour of the new year, yet again making their way through North America, this time with Attack Attack!, Breathe Carolina, label mates I See Stars, and the up-and-coming British metalcore act Bury Tomorrow. The tour carries through to April, ending ten days before heading off for their debut European tour with Dance Gavin Dance and In Fear and Faith, which includes an appearance at the annual Groezrock festival. They are however scheduled to discontinue the European tour two days before it originally ends to make an appearance at The Bamboozle festival in New Jersey.
Asking Alexandria announced their first ever headlining tour on 2 March 2010, taking place in North America through May to the start of June. We Came as Romans, From First to Last, Our Last Night and A Bullet for Pretty Boy were announced as supporting bands for the tour. Bruce has also confirmed through an interview with Inside Heavy that the band will be making an appearance at the Thrash and Burn summer festival tour as a main support act, though not revealing details on which other bands that will be participating.[7] It was later revealed that Asking Alexandria would co-headline the Thrash and Burn Tour 2010 alongside Born of Osiris.
Asking Alexandria has since then embarked on The Thrash and Burn Tour performed a new song entitled “Breathless”, which is featured on their then upcoming second studio album Reckless & Relentless.[8] The band as well recorded a cover of “Right Now (Na Na Na)” by Akon[9] which was released on Punk Goes Pop 3 in November 2010.
During a show in Las Cruces, New Mexico, on the Short But Sweet Tour that took place in early October,[10] Asking Alexandria was asked about the release of their upcoming album and future music videos. Bruce responded with great detail about their plans. Reckless & Relentless will be available for pre-order in December and will be released in February. He also stated that in November 2010 they will be releasing a reissue of Stand Up and Scream, the reissue album is said to contain more of a “dubstep feel” to the content. Bruce also mentioned that it will contain a bonus DVD that will have a live music video of “If You Can’t Ride Two Horses at Once… Then You Should Get Out of the Circus.” They are also preparing a music video for “A Prophecy” that will be included on the bonus DVD if finished in time.
On 23 November 2010, Asking Alexandria added a new EP entitled Life Gone Wild for pre-order, set to be released on 21 December 2010.[11] The EP contained the new song “Breathless”, dubstep remixes of “A Single Moment of Sincerity” and “Not the American Average,” two Skid Row covers of “18 and Life” and “Youth Gone Wild”, and an unreleased demo version of “I Was Once, Possibly, Maybe, Perhaps a Cowboy King”.
It has been announced that the reissue album of Stand Up and Scream, that was originally supposed to be released on 16 November then 21 December then 22 March has been pushed back to sometime in the summer of 2011 and will be titled Stepped Up and Scratched. It will be a completely remixed electro/dubstep version of their debut album including all the songs, new artwork, and new packaging. It has been announced at most UK tour shows in December that support for the UK April shows will come from Of Mice & Men and Chelsea Grin.[12]
On 5 April 2011, Reckless & Relentless was released as planned. On 11 April 2011, the band made their national TV debut, while performing the songs “Someone, Somewhere”, and “Closure” on Jimmy Kimmel Live!.[13]
On 5 July 2011, the band released the music video for “Closure”, the first single off Reckless & Relentless, directed by Thunder Down Country.[14] On 15 July 2011, the band released a music video for the second single “To the Stage”, directed by Frankie Nasso.[15] On 4 September 2011, vocalist Danny Worsnop has announced in a video on his personal YouTube channel that he will be recording a solo album in the near future, with the album being more of a rock record, rather than Asking Alexandria’s heavy metal style. He released a preview of a new solo song he recorded, entitled “Photograph.”[16] Asking Alexandria released the music video for Not The American Average on VIA Facebook on 10/17/11 which was a song on their debut album Stand Up And Scream. On 17 November 2011, the band was selected as sole direct support to Guns N’ Roses at the Izod Center.
The band also announced on there Facebook on December 22, 2011 that they are shooting a prequel video to their song “To the Stage” the music video will be for their song “Reckless & Relentless”. They also announced the sequel to the video will be for the song “Dear Insanity”. Both are currently in post-production. Fans can go to the Sumerian Records Facebook wall and tell them which video they would prefer the band release first. [17]

Burgerkill

Originating from Bandung, West Java, Burgerkill were formed in 1995 and have been continually shaping the underground metal scene in Indonesia ever since. For 14 years Burgerkill have consistently been in the spotlight as a force to be reckoned with in Indonesian metal, from writing compositions for movie soundtracks to the successful publication of autobiographic novels.
Their first album, ‘Dua Sisi’, demonstrates the band’s beginnings as a leaning towards a predominantly ‘Hardcore Metal’ and was well received within the underground metal community. With their second album ‘Berkarat’ and their most recent ‘Beyond Coma and Despair’ Burgerkill have found their foot-hole and developed a style of their own. Burgerkill set the standard for live metal performances in Indonesia, and have always been a clear cut above the rest. What you hear on the album is what you get live – no disappointments. Their style and level of performance are incomparable to anything previously seen or heard in Indonesia. Burgerkill have become veterans of the metal stage as they are regularly supporting International metal acts touring Indonesia such as The Black Dahlia Murder, As I Lay Dying, and Himsa.
Burgerkill is a dynamic composition of talented musicians who have all individually featured as prominent influences within Indonesia’s underground metal milieu. With Vicky on vocals, Ebenz on guitar, Ramdan on bass, Andris on drums, and Agung on guitar, the result is a lethal combination of musicians who, as if by instinct, produce a most rancorous sound that leaves you feeling downright butchered. Self produced and Burgerkill’s most recent album, ‘Beyond Coma and Despair’ has been tagged by Rolling Stone Magazine as ‘One of the best albums of the year’ (2006). The sound exhibited on this album is brutal and violent. All throughout this turbulent, provocative album it is as if Burgerkill grab you by the head and smash you to the wall, yet you find yourself still smiling and thoroughly enjoying this merciless invasion of noise.
It is masochistic to the core. There is nothing mediocre about the album Burgerkill attack each song with great ferocity. ‘Beyond Coma and Despair’ is a unique album in that each song churns out a colossal sound, delivering to the listener an unrelenting assault on the eardrums. ‘Beyond Coma and Despair’ more than proves with absolute certainty that Burgerkill will reign eternal in the metal world.

Serigala Malam

Serigala Malam (SM) was formed in the surrounding areas in 2008, I forget exactly, still green, hehe! SM at the time of initial formation was: my own on vocals, Krishna on bass, Cherys on lead guitar who was forced out of the SM before the first EP-making process because of the necessity for the serious air-college, Angger on guitar who also forced out after launch due to EP some iternal problem, and Egeng drum, yanf out with the band due to serious industrialnya GodMode.
Vision of the initial formation of sm is my desire to form a band that many berinfluens hc in NYHC, which incidentally is still rare in the YK own at that time, there are some old band who had a little more influence in their band NY, but I wanted to create something really heavy and NY, hehe! Indeed a little selfish, but I like it, then I try to shape it, and until now can be seen, here we are with our mindset and how much influence these NYHC for our band. There are also many obstacles that we had to face to continue to maintain the band’s still the rest of this corn, either from outside or from within his own band, and would not want to reshuffle after a reshuffle in the formation of the band was ended: I (vocals), Krishna (guitar) , Jionk ‘ANGGISLUKA’ (bass), Niko ‘Peach6012′ (drum), and Mario ‘THIS HEART’ (adisional guitar). We have also released our EP on February 13, 2009 and the title “Our Pride Our Its movement” contains 7 tracks, and there is a cover track of MADBALL in dalemnya. But because I feel less satisfied with my vocals on the first version, I went back to retake to find characters that vocal music is more fitting for BC, and the second edition EP “Its Our Pride Our Movement” re-release the first time in Jakarta on some time ago, along with the arrival NO TURNING BACK at Café Moe, Bintaro. The second edition of the EP are our own production and distrubusikan (self released) in the amount of the limit.

System of a Down has so many styles of music include: nu metal,experimental, alternative metal and rap metal and ska sometimes the songRadio / Video is the element of the genre, too, even reggae into their genre.

Bullet for My Valentine

When it came time to record its third album, Bullet for My Valentine wasn’t content to rest on its already impressive laurels. While its second album, 2008’s “Scream Aim Fire,” debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 and sold more than a million copies worldwide, went gold in the UK and Canada, the Welsh metal band mates had a fire in their collective belly to push themselves beyond what they’d ever accomplished.
Declaring themselves “hungry” to create again, the band set about to create “a hard rock, dark album with metal flashes,” says lead singer/guitarist Matthew Tuck. “We really wanted it to excel beyond anything we’ve done musically before.”
If the ferocious results on the group’s third Jive album, “Fever,” out April 27, are any indication, the band has far exceeded its own rigorous expectations. Bullet for My Valentine, which also includes drummer Michael “Moose” Thomas, guitaristPadge and bassist Jason “Jay” James, has simultaneously made its most melodic yet raucous, relentless collection yet.
Indeed, “Fever’s” muscular riffs threaten to overpower the listener with their sheer unending intensity. Tuck’s lacerating vocals, once compromised by debilitating; possibly career-ending throat problems are stronger than ever.
For “Fever” the idea was “to keep it simple,” says drummer Thomas, and focus on the steak, not the sizzle. “It’s really tempting to kind of push your limits and try to play a thousand miles an hour. But there’s really no need for it. This album is powerful, more than just speedy.”
The group, named by metal magazine Kerrang! as Best British Band in both 2008 and 2009, formed 10 years ago in their Welsh hometown of Bridgend. After gigging around and honing their considerable live chops for years, the band signed with Sony in 2004; in the U.S., the band’s music is released by Sony label Jive. “The Poison,” released, appropriately enough on Valentine’s Day in the U.S. in 2006, has been certified gold in the U.S., United Kingdom, Germany and Canada. The band quickly became a major draw known for its ceaselessly frenetic live shows.
While still on tour supporting “Scream,” Bullet for My Valentine began writing music for “Fever” in early 2009 in Wales. So great was their desire to create something beyond their previous efforts that the foursome retreated to a studio in Lincolnshire, England to get away from everything—home, family and friends–and concentrate solely on writing. “We just needed to be in our own space so we had no distractions,” Thomas recalls. “It was Bullet for My Valentine 24 hours a day.”
For “Fever,” the band recruited producer Don Gilmore, best known for his work with Linkin Park and Good Charlotte. “He was confident that he could take us to the next level,” Tuck says. “He identified the strong points and the weak points. Because we kind of knew we were on the right track, we just needed him to keep us on the right track and push us hard and make it work.”
After the initial music was written, Tuck and Gilmore holed up in the studio to craft the lyrics and melodies, locking out everyone including the rest of the band.
The separation was hard for Tuck’s band mates, but all was understood once they started hearing the amazing results. “We just left them alone,” Thomas says. “When there’s lot of people in the room, it just gets messy. If there are just two people in the room, they can just bounce off each other rather than everyone shouting opinions. It just made life a lot easier for those two.”
The lyric writing sessions took place during an immensely intense period that left Tuck feeling exhilarated, but just as often battered and bruised. “Every day, I’d get up out bed and go into the studio and it was like, ‘Fuck, here we go again’,” he recalls. “I walked out a couple of times, I had to go and disappear for a few days to clear my head. It was all for the good of the cause. I got it about half way through the vocal sessions. Don and I clicked and bonded.”
Gilmore shoved Tuck harder than he’d ever been pushed before. “Previously, I’d just write lyrics and melody and if it sounds good and feels good, it stays,” Tuck says, “but he made me write it again and change melodies until it was fucking amazing. And that was a difference. I was just settling in the past. “
Every drop of sweat is captured on “Fever.” Blistering first single “Your Betrayal” scorches the earth with its searing instrumental opening and bitter words of mistrust. “The song is about being betrayed and then obsessing about it and wanting revenge and payback for what’s happened to that person,” Tuck says, noting the lyrics mark a return to the “super dark” tone of “The Poison.”
The group also tackles drug addiction and how those around the addict often suffer just as much on “The Last Fight.” “People think the person who has the addiction is the victim; no one ever thinks about the people who are helping them and trying to get them out and then are being pushed aside,” Tuck says. “So ‘The Last Fight is about how it’s your last chance, I keep trying to help you and you keep trying to push me away. Fuck you. This is the last fight I’m going to do for you.”
The band isn’t afraid to turn tender on the sobering “A Place Where You Belong,” a sad, sorrowful tale about unresolved issues. “You don’t get a chance to make amends before someone passes away, you don’t see someone again and you have to live with that,” Tuck says. “It’s kind of taken from me and my girlfriend; we split up a year ago and shit happened.” He clarifies that his girlfriend did not die. “None of the stuff we do is that biographical,” Tuck says. “I’ll take certain things and turn them into something else just because I think it’s more interesting.”
Things lighten up on the saucy title track which tackles the time-honored tradition of hot girl meets boy, or boys, in the band and, well, you know the rest of the story. “It’s the kind of song we’ve never done,” Tuck says. “The song is just party rock and roll. It’s such a boy’s song. The boys are back on the road. Since the dawn of time, men just want to see naked chicks and fuck them; that’s it.”
Speaking of the road, Bullet for My Valentine, renowned for its energetic live shows, can’t wait to bring “Fever’s” music alive on tour. “I love the buzz and energy of the crowd,” Tuck says. “It’s such a mad feeling.”
For Bullet for my Valentine, they want fans to feel about “Fever” the way the music from their musical heroes made them feel.
“Fever” sounds like something that if I were 16 and getting into rock music, I would just be going nuts and wanting to be in a band, just like Metallica did for me,” Tuck says. “It’s just so timeless and real. There’s nothing fake about what we do.”

Picture Me Broken

Artistic vision, intricate musicianship, dark, poetic lyrics exploring heavy, controversial topics and a profound message are the very essence of Picture Me Broken, a breath of fresh air band that shatters any “young band” or “female-fronted” stereotypes. Although PMB is mostly comprised of 18-year-olds, they are one of the few bands right now trying to bring back true artistry in this trend-dominated music scene. PMB delivers larger than life, authentic rock n’ roll laced with modern innovation.
Front-woman Layla “Brooklyn” Allman refuses to be placed in a category with other “rock chicks” or female lead singers as she draws most of her influence from male artists and believes that women should be just as dynamic. “PMB is not just a ‘female-fronted’ band, PMB is a rock n’ roll band”, she comments.
Brooklyn, and bassist Austin Dunn, have seen this band through since age 12 (2005) and will see it through to the top. The two original members are now confident that they have put together a lineup that offers stellar musicianship, energetic performance, and dynamic personalities. Drummer Connor Lung offers spot on performance, machine-gun like double bass capabilities and undeniable charisma.
As for guitar work, PMB offers dual-lead guitar players Dante Phoenix and Jimmy Strimpel whom switch off lead detail in displaying their distinguished
styles. Their solos, dual leads, and harmonies add
to PMB’s unique sound and complete the live show experience.

Revenge The Fate

Revenge The Fate
Genre: Metalcore / Death Metal / Deathcore
Description: Revenge the Fate are an Indonesian hardcore band formed in 2009. They’ve still got a little way to go with their sound, but there’s definitely a lot of potential there. The unclean vocals fit well and there are some good melancholic guitar riffs. Perhaps it would be a good idea to shed the clean vocals, but they’re little and often, and the aggression of the rest of the song more than makes up for it.
Beginning and adding members in ones city of East Bandung, West Java, Indonesia. Revenge The Fate was formed in July 5th 2009. At first, It was a project band who have been created by Sona. When it formed, the name was not Revenge The Fate. But it called Rebel Angel. The first formation in Rebel Angel was Sona on guitar/Vocal, Thom on Vocal, Sandy on guitar, Gan Gan on Bass, Dany on Drum. That formation has been changed by sona, when dany resigned on the band, because he had another band. (Killed Your Animation) On second formation, sona invited Anggi to join his band. Anggi played as drummer. And the band renamed. It called Light your Pain. When the band still walked just in 2 month, sona fired gan gan on the band, because he wasn ’t serious. The third formation formed when sona met with richi. This new formation really different than before. Sona has become bass player/vocalist. And richi played as lead guitarist. And band renamed again. It was called Revenge The Fate. Sona found that name when he desperate of his life, he hated his life, and he just think about how to make his life better. DeadSquad

What makes this band interesting and become the strongest appeal lies in the existence of the bearer in it. DeadSquad is a brutal technical death metal band that contains a set of names that already have a place in the country music event. Whether in the realm of mainstream music and underground music in the zone. Stevie Item is also still listed as a member of Andra & The Backbone and Christopher Bolemeyer known as Neutral Throckmorton, both of which occupy a position as a guitarist. Then there ex-Skull Bonsquad on bass. Adrian Gorust ex-Torment Grave on drums and Daniel’s ex-Abolish Conception on vocals.
Previous list of names has also been strengthened DeadSquad formation. As Ricky Siahaan is now listed as Step Forward personnel and grin. Then Prisa, ex-Zala who has also formed a new band called Vendetta. Alexander also Babal ex-position which is now occupied by Daniel.
Strength of the sensation of a series of names is what ultimately makes a supergroup DeadSquad lively discussion. Because it is supposed to give something that is quite a slap to the landslide scene, especially in extreme metal music.
Horror Vision is the first successful launch manifest DeadSquad. Records released by Rottrevore Indonesia. Launching his own has been performed in concert as “Lamb of God: Wrath Tour 2009″ on March 9, yesterday, in which DeadSquad be the only opening band. Contains eight technical material that is quite massive. One of its tracks is a cover version of the legendary death metal band material Sepultura, Arise.
My expectations may be a bit too high. Because when after listening to the whole matter was not found anything really new. Everything is still in the corridor of technical brutal death metal standards that are often carried out by previous similar bands. Possible approach to old-school style of metal they are trying to do. But if only exploration can be sharpened in terms of character, without having to leave the old-school style that they hold may be able to sound more fresh.
But if you are looking for is of the more technical side, such as the composition of the neat and distinctive elements of the music of extreme technical metal, it can be satisfied in this album. Simply crush the head if you want to feel the sensation brutalistik of harmony and beauty blend aggressiveness structured blasting rhythms of the whole matter.
The first matter, “Force Off” was opened by a grand orchestration intro.Reminds me of the style that is often done by atmospheric orchestral melodic black metal band, Dimmu Borgir. Then followed by other materials that make the ears fairly dragged into a sophisticated structure. Closed by undeniably eerie outro is a nice settlement at the end of the matter.
Writing lyrics is pretty good. Packaged in a format especially the Indonesian language. The game is pretty catchy metaphors combined with composition-diction diction that provoked to think. Typical themes of bleakness of life and social criticism can be strung together beautifully in a solid enough song material. From a technical perspective, it might be a little more vocal when placed in front of the layer blend the beauty of these words would be more ternikmati and delivered.
Is final as early onslaught. May the explorations of the beat in the material after it will add strength to the character of DeadSquad.

Death Vomit

DEATH VOMIT, composing of Sofyan Hadi (vocals/lead guitar), Roy Agus (drums), and Oki Haribowo (bass) have existed as a prevailing force within the Indonesian metal scene for quite some time, and since their formation in 1995 they have well and truly made a hefty mark on the Indonesian death metal scene. From the beginning, DEATH VOMIT have proved to be moguls of all that is macabre and have devoted themselves to many a bloodcurdling, annihilating live performance across Indonesia. With their brutal, unyielding assault on the tour circuit, DEATH VOMIT leave nothing to the imagination. Apart from their ferocious approach to live performance, DEATH VOMIT have also succeeded in releasing two diabolically spine-chilling albums. Their first album, ‘Eternally Deprecated’, was released in November 1999 under their own independent label Demented Mind Records, selling over 1000 copies of the album – a considerable achievement for any small underground Indonesian metal music label at this time. ‘Eternal Deprecated’ was later re-released under the larger record label Extreme Souls Production, which saw an explosion of album sales and sealed DEATH VOMIT’s fate as the most brutally dominating death metal band to ever grace the isles of Indonesia.
On April 15th 2000, the band suffered a massive set back and time of deep sorrow when lead singer Agung passed away. In light of the turmoil and tribulations that now lay ahead, DEATH VOMIT remained true to themselves, and guitarist Sofyan Hadi stepped up to the plate, taking on the role of guitarist and vocalist. For DEATH VOMIT, the tragic, untimely death of Agung was the point of no return, and the band came back fighting with fists of fury, devouring all seeds of doubt with the release of their second album ‘The Prophecy’ (2006). Despite the considerable time lapse between albums and the turbulent times endured, DEATH VOMIT held firm and remained loyal to their style, displaying nothing but (un)virtuous, arrant death metal. Both ‘Eternally Deprecated’ and ‘The Prophecy’ are demonstrative of DEATH VOMIT’s sheer musical ferocity and cutthroat savagery, as well as their unfaulting commitment to the grinding, formidable intensity that is death metal.
At the top of their achievements, and a homage to their overwhelmingly fiendish and pulverizing on-stage effulgence, DEATH VOMIT can lay claim to being the first Indonesian metal band to release a live DVD. In June 2008 DEATH VOMIT executed a slaughtering, hatchet job of a performance that was captured on film and release as the DVD entitled ‘Flames of Hate’, and has been labeled as one of the best live performances in Indonesia to be captured on DVD. The ruthless carnage that is captured on ‘Flames of Hate’ is reflective of the same rancor that is consistently delivered by DEATH VOMIT both on stage and in the studio.
When pondering the Indonesian death metal scene, DEATH VOMIT, as a band that has indubitably forged themselves as one of the most intense death metal bands in their country, cannot be bypassed. DEATH VOMIT are infallible devotees to the merciless and insubordinate barbarity that is death metal. And just when you thought your brain had been pulverized beyond functionality, then along comes the onslaught of DEATH VOMIT’s much anticipated up-coming album, promising to be just as, if not more, savage and tyrannical as ever. The album is due for worldwide release in August/September 2010 to coincide with their Australian and national tour under Xenophobic Records. and please visit us at

As I Lay Dying

As I Lay Dying

It’s hard to believe that a veteran metal band like San Diego’s As I Lay Dying could be just hitting their stride now, some 10 years and five full-lengths into an already stellar career. Still, even after just one listen to the quintet’s latest, The Powerless Rise, you can’t ignore the obvious: One of modern metal’s best just got better.

Similar to their approach on 2007′s Grammy-nominated An Ocean Between Us, the band chose to employ the production prowess of Adam D. and record a majority of the album at singer Tim Lambesis’ own private studio.  The end result is The Powerless Rise; the first true collaborative effort between the current AILD lineup.

Although they didn’t know it at first, the band’s creative potential kicked into overdrive with the introduction of bassist/singer Josh Gilbert in 2007, who played on Ocean but was not involved with the writing.  For the previous two albums, the brunt of the instrumental development was spearheaded by guitarist Phil Sgrosso, whose penchant for melody and riff-conjuring suited the notoriously powerful drum stylings of drummer Jordan Mancino, complimented the lead guitar work of Nick Hipa, and exacted Lambesis’s vision for the bands’ overall intensity. The aforementioned format remained the same on Powerless but with the addition of Gilbert’s musical contribution, added yet another facet to an already established creative dynamic. The result is an album built upon the strength of its parts and the remarkable ways in which those parts become a cohesive whole.

For this current round of lyrics, Lambesis gravitated toward a concept centrally represented in the song “Upside Down Kingdom,” which posits that the suffering of the world stems from the broken, upside-down nature of society. In addition to providing the line that became the album’s title, the song lays out the guiding premise behind many of The Powerless Rise’s ideological excursions—the notion that if we do the opposite of what the modern world tells us, many of the problems this current world causes will no longer exist. Lambesis stresses that rather than fill an album with bitter ranting, he’s attempting to offer a solution with Powerless.

So yes, it may come as a surprise to some that AILD would attain an entirely new level of artistry and urgency with their fifth release Powerless when many others might consider phoning it in, but once you appreciate all the various ingredients essential to the album, it’s no shock at all. By taking the trademark AILD sound then adding a band-wide effort and Lambesis’ novel approach to writing lyrics, the group has truly outdone themselves on The Powerless Rise, at least for now.

How I joined the band:
Tim, who I had known through the local metal/hardcore scene in San Diego, gave me a call one day and asked if I was interested in starting a metal band with him. My other band had broken up not too long before that and the punk band I was filling in for wasn’t too busy, so I said I was definitely interested; especially if we were going to be playing and writing metal. Tim, Evan, Jon (the original bass player), Jeremy (the original second guitar player) and I met up a few days later to introduce ourselves and talk a little about what direction we wanted to go. Not too long after that we started jamming and a few months later we recorded Beneath The Encasing Of Ashes then hit the road. The rest of this story can be found in our DVD!
